The event will bring together prominent figures from the Baltic political and business community to discuss the recent developments in the data economy, its multiple opportunities but also potential challenges, such as data localization. Many policy initiatives have been put forward at European level in relation with the digital economy (e.g. the GAIA-X, the European Cloud Federation, the Data Governance Act or the European Data Spaces). How will these new policies benefit or affect the Baltics in their ambitions for economic growth against the setback caused by the Pandemic and what actions are needed so that the three countries are better positioned in the growing data economy? The business leaders and policymakers from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will address these issues in an attempt to respond to this – and many other – questions during the event with a clear aim of echoing our voice in Europe.

The conference will be organized around three different discussion groups, where relevant stakeholders will intervene, and expert teams will conduct the discussion with the aim of coming up with concrete positions and proposals. The discussion groups will focus on the following topics – GAIA-X HubData Economy and Data Sovereignty.

We invite you to REGISTER and participate – to observe and ask questions. Please find the PROGRAM.
